About Us

Little Ones Vowing Excellence (L.O.V.E.) Racing was created by Ryleigh (6 yrs. old) and Scotlynn (4 yrs. old) in January 2020. Ryleigh and Scotlynn wanted to be on a team, but most teams only wanted expert or advanced riders, so they asked dad if they could have their own team. Their idea and vision was to help kids transitioning from balance bikes to pedal bikes, new riders, novice riders and, most importantly, to have fun. When dad asked why they wanted to name the team LOVE Racing, Ryleigh and Scotlynn simultaneously stated "because they love racing." Little Ones Vowing Excellence just made sense and we could build a support system built on the love that surrounds us everyday. Ryleigh (7), Scotlynn (5) and Brighton (2) are the owners and dad, Stan, is the team manager. Our home track is Desoto BMX.

Over the past year we grew from 3 riders to 15. Almost every rider started as a balance bike rider or Novice. We recently added a rider who has autism, Christian. He is 6 and started on his balance bike. He joined the team at the beginning of November 2020 and within 2 weeks he was able to start pedaling a bike. This is a huge milestone since his brain has trouble coordinating both sides of the body which is needed in pedaling a bike. We also had a teammate lose his 12-year-old brother to brain cancer. He fought for 17 long months. To say the team has Loved and Lost is an understatement. 

In 2020, we had 8 of 15 riders move up from Novice to Intermediate or Girls Expert. We had 4 riders receive Top 10 number plates in State, and one rider receive a Gold Cup #3 number plate. 

Little Ones Vowing Excellence (L.O.V.E.) Racing wants to spread the love of racing by providing young and new riders the opportunities to achieve their goals and compete at a higher level. We want to instill a great foundation and family support built on love, respect, and encouragement.
